Friday night blessings for boys and girls For a festive occasion, washing hands, eating
Blessings for children to say upon waking, For candles, wine, and bread.
before eating, and before going to bed.
Our Shabbat morning worship takes place twice a month. All are welcome to join us for as much or as little of the service as is meaningful to them.
We use the Mishkan T’filah prayerbook of the Reform Movement. This siddur combines Hebrew, transliteration and English to accommodate all worshipers. The rabbi offers explanations of the different prayers and sections of the service to engage even the most inexperienced participants.
Congregants and guests are invited to take an active part in the service to the extent that they are able and willing. No one is ever put on the spot!
Services conclude with kiddush (blessings over grape juice or wine), a rousing motzi (blessing over a delicious challeh) and a light repast. Schmoozing is part of our celebration!
